An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Ciudad de Mexico. Second ranked Aztks faced one of their biggest challengers Escaramuzas. Host Aztks (7-1) defeated guests from Jalisco (4-4) 61-52. Cuban center Yayma Boulet (193-84) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 13 rebounds. Indra Gonzalez contributed with 18 points for the winners. Aztks' coach used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. American center Jordan Wallace (190, college: Rutgers, agency: Gamble Sports Management) replied with 9 points and 18 rebounds and the former international forward Gladiana Avila (177-94) added 15 points in the effort for Escaramuzas. Aztks keep a position of league leader, which they share with Lobas. Escaramuzas at the other side dropped to the second place with four games lost. They share the position with Barreteras and Racers. Aztks will play against league's leader Mieleras in Guanajuato in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Escaramuzas will play on the road against Mexcaltecas in Tepic and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
