Regular Season Round 10: Mexcaltecas - Escaramuzas 58-61

The most interesting game of round 10 in the LMBPF was only three-point a home defeat of 4th ranked Mexcaltecas (4-6) to third ranked Escaramuzas (5-5) 61-58 in the game for the third place. Escaramuzas forced 23 Mexcaltecas turnovers. The former international forward Gladiana Avila (177-94) scored 23 points, 6 assists and 4 steals to lead the charge for the winners and Italivy Ramos chipped in 6 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side the former international guard Romina Berumen (177-87) responded with 24 points (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) and Colombian center Narlyn Mosquera (197-89) scored 13 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Mexcaltecas' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Escaramuzas maintains third position with 5-5 record having four points less than leader Aztks which they share with defeated Mexcaltecas. Mexcaltecas at the other side dropped to the third place with six games lost. They share the position with Quetzales and Barreteras. Escaramuzas are looking forward to face league's second-placed Mieleras in Guanajuato in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Mexcaltecas will play on the road against Algodoneras in Torreon and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
