Franca rallied past Minas to force the decider. Vivo/Franca forced 19 Minas turnovers. Strangely Minas outrebounded Vivo/Franca 41-29 including 27 on the defensive glass. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. International forward Lucas Silva (208-95) orchestrated the victory by scoring 22 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. The former international point guard Elinho Corazza (192-89, college: Miami Dade CC) contributed with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 6 rebounds and 10 assists for the winners. American guard David Jackson (190-82, college: Penn St.) replied with 18 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and his fellow American import guard Shaquille Johnson (194-90, college: Marshall, agency: Interperformances) added 21 points in the effort for Minas. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Minas' coach Leonardo Costa rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help.
