Very important is a road loss of second ranked Racers (11-9) against fourth ranked Barreteras (8-12) on Sunday night. Visiting Racers were defeated by Barreteras in a tough game in Zacatecas 78-85. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Racers. Racers were plagued by 31 personal fouls down the stretch. The winners were led by Haide Elicerio who scored that evening 21 points and 9 rebounds and American guard Ashanti Hunt (180-96, college: BCU) supported her with 17 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists and 6 steals. Four Barreteras players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 26 points and 13 rebounds by Nicole Millender did not help to save the game for Racers. Ana Bernal added 12 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists for the guests. Racers' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Barreteras maintains fourth position with 8-12 record. Newly promoted Racers keep the second place with nine games lost.
