Regular Season Round 20: Algodoneras - Lobas 58-73

LMBPF top team - Lobas (19-1) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat fifth ranked Algodoneras (3-17) in Torreon 73-58. The former international forward Jacqueline Luna-Castro (188-93, college: Charleston) orchestrated the victory by scoring 15 points and 6 rebounds. Russian forward Julia Gladkova (185-94) contributed with 12 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. American guard Brittany Byrd (175, college: UIC) replied with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds and her fellow American import forward Tylinn Carter (185-95, college: Pepperdine) added 16 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Algodoneras. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Lobas have an impressive 15-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 19-1 record. Newly promoted Algodoneras keep the fifth place with 17 games lost.
