No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked Bulldogs (5-2) crushed on the road 7th ranked Anfy (3-3) 66-36 on Saturday. Bulldogs held Anfy to an opponent 21.4 percent shooting from the field compared to 40.6 percent accuracy of the winners. Bulldogs forced 21 Anfy turnovers. Swingman Andrea Batres (170-93) notched 18 points and 8 rebounds to lead the effort and center Leslie Sermeno (176-97) supported her with 2 points, 17 rebounds, 5 assists and 8 steals. Even 3 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists by Alejandra Menendez (175-0) did not help to save the game for Anfy. Center Paola Ortiz (171-1) added 4 points and 8 rebounds for lost side. Anfy's coach gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Defending champion moved-up to third place. Newly promoted Anfy keeps the seventh position with three games lost. They share it with Sivar. Bulldogs will meet at home Quequeisque (#6) in the next round. Anfy will play against Salvadorenas in Santa Tecla and hope to secure a win.
