Regular Season Round 11: Bulldogs - Quequeisque 44-55

The game between third ranked Bulldogs (5-3) and seventh ranked Quequeisque (4-2) was the most important one in the last round on Thursday night. Bulldogs were defeated by Quequeisque at home 55-44. Quequeisque held Bulldogs to an opponent 25.0 percent shooting from the field compared to 33.8 percent accuracy of the winners. Quequeisque looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a great evening for point guard Daniela Alonso (160-1) who led her team to a victory scoring 15 points, 7 rebounds, 7 assists and 6 steals. Liliana Alvarado (170-97) helped adding 10 points and 13 rebounds. Quequeisque's coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Center Leslie Sermeno (176-97) responded with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds and point guard Rosa Reyes (162-89) scored 7 points and 12 rebounds. Quequeisque have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Teclenas. Defending champion Bulldogs keep the third position with three games lost. Quequeisque's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from San Salvador Itexsal.
