Bottom-ranked L.M.Mons. (0-8) is still winless. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their eighth consecutive match to third ranked Bulldogs (6-3) 81-47. Bulldogs dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to L.M.Mons.'s 40. Bulldogs forced 34 L.M.Mons. turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 32 assists comparing to just 19 passes made by L.M.Mons.'s players. L.M.Mons. was plagued by 30 personal fouls down the stretch. The winners were led by guard Melany Sanchez (167-4) who scored that evening 23 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals and center Leslie Sermeno (176-97) supported her with 6 points, 14 rebounds, 10 assists and 4 steals. Four Bulldogs players scored in double figures. Even 11 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals by point guard Maritza Munguia did not help to save the game for L.M.Mons.. Cindy Figueroa (158-84) added 17 points and 5 rebounds. Defending champion maintains third position with 6-3 record having just one point less than leader Lincoln. L.M.Mons. at the other side still closes the standings with eight games lost. Bulldogs will play against Chilis (#11) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. L.M.Mons. will have a break next round.
