Very important is a road loss of second ranked Indios (2-3) against fourth ranked Leones (2-2) on Wednesday night. Visiting Indios were defeated by Leones in a tough game in Juana Diaz 87-93. It was a key game for the second position in the league. Leones players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. American-Bosnian point guard Alex Renfroe (191-86, college: Belmont, agency: BeoBasket) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 6 rebounds and 11 assists. U.S. Virgin Islands-American power forward Jordan Murphy (201-97, college: Minnesota) contributed with 21 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Four Leones players scored in double figures. American center Jessie Govan (211-97, college: Georgetown) answered with 25 points and 5 rebounds and the former international guard Christian Pizarro (180-95, college: Miami Dade CC) added 17 points and 5 assists in the effort for Indios. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Leones moved-up to second place, which they share with 4 other teams. Indios at the other side dropped to the fifth position with three games lost. Leones will play against league's leader Capitanes in Arecibo in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Indios will play on the road against Cangrejeros (#4) in Santurce and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
