An interesting game for Capitanes (4-2) which hosted in Arecibo 4th ranked Leones (2-3). First ranked Capitanes managed to get a 6-point victory 95-89. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Leones. Capitanes made 20-of-26 charity shots (76.9 percent) during the game. They brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. The former international guard Jezreel De Jesus (185-91, agency: Interperformances) scored 25 points and 6 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and naturalized U.S. Virgin Islands point guard Walter Hodge (183-86, college: Florida) chipped in 21 points and 6 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was Dominican Victor Liz (193-86) with 15 points and 6 rebounds and U.S. Virgin Islands-American power forward Jordan Murphy (201-97, college: Minnesota) scored 11 points and 8 rebounds. Four Capitanes and five Leones players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Capitanes maintains first position with 4-2 record. Leones at the other side keep the fourth place with three games lost. They share the position with San German and Santurce. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
