An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Guayama. Leader Vaqueros faced second-ranked Brujos. Guests from Bayamon (9-0) defeated host Brujos (7-3) 85-74. The best player for the winners was international point guard Angel Rodriguez (180-92, college: Miami, FL, agency: Shark Sports Management) who had a double-double by scoring 18 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assists. International forward Benito Santiago (198-89, college: Cumberlands) chipped in 24 points and 6 rebounds. Four Vaqueros players scored in double figures. American power forward Ben McCauley (206-86, college: NC State) produced a double-double by scoring 18 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists and international swingman Alex Franklin (198-88, college: Siena) added 20 points and 13 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Brujos' coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Vaqueros have an impressive series of nine victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 9-0 record. Brujos at the other side keep the second position with three games lost. Vaqueros will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Brujos will play on the road against Cangrejeros in Santurce and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
