Regular Season Round 12: San German - Guaynabo 102-110

No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked Mets (4-5) beat 6th ranked Atleticos (3-8) in San German 110-102 on Wednesday. Mets made 19-of-22 free shots (86.4 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The winners were led by American point guard David Stockton (180-91, college: Gonzaga) who scored that evening 33 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 4 assists (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) and the former international forward Renaldo Balkman (201-84, college: S.Carolina) supported him with 25 points. Mets' coach Chris Thomas allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even a double-double of 31 points, 12 rebounds and 4 blocks by American Paris Bass (203-95, college: Detroit) did not help to save the game for Atleticos. His fellow American import Onzie Branch (201-91, college: Gardner-Webb) added 20 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. Four Mets and five Atleticos players scored in double figures. Mets moved-up to third place, which they share with Fajardo. Atleticos lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the sixth position with eight games lost. Mets will meet league's second-placed Brujos in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Atleticos will play against the league's leader Capitanes (#1) and hope to secure a win.
