An interesting game for Brujos (8-3) which hosted in Guayama 4th ranked Cangrejeros (4-6). Second ranked Brujos had an easy win 82-65. Brujos forced 21 Cangrejeros turnovers. The winners were led by the former international forward Christopher Ortiz (203-93, college: Kent St., agency: Network Sports International) who scored that evening 16 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists and international swingman Alex Franklin (198-88, college: Siena) supported him with 20 points and 6 rebounds. Four Brujos players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 14 points and 11 rebounds by American Thomas Robinson (208-91, college: Kansas, agency: Network Sports International) did not help to save the game for Cangrejeros. His fellow American import forward Dante Cunningham (203-87, college: Villanova) added 12 points. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Brujos maintains second position with 8-3 record having just one victory less than leader Bayamon. Loser Cangrejeros keep the fourth place with six games lost. Brujos will meet at home Mets (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Cangrejeros will play against Piratas in Quebradillas and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
