Soles used a home court advantage and won against the opponent from Santo Domingo 82-77 on Friday night. Soles forced 20 Leones turnovers. Andres Feliz (188-97, college: Illinois) nailed 15 points, 5 assists and 4 steals for the winning side and American Nigel Jones (201-90, college: Talladega) accounted for 12 points and 6 rebounds. Jones is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Soles players scored in double figures. Forward Juan Guerrero (205-93) came up with 17 points and 6 rebounds and naturalized American Eddy Polanco (190-94, college: SE Louisiana) added 13 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Leones in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Soles will meet at home Titanes in the next round. Leones will play against Caneros and hope to win that game.
