Regular Season Round 3: Reales - Huracanes 76-97

Another exciting game was played in La Vega between Huracanes and Reales where Huracanes (3-4) crushed Reales (2-5) on the road with 21-point difference 97-76. It was a good game for naturalized American swingman Luis Jacobo (196-91, college: PFW) who led his team to a victory with 24 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Guard Bernardo Polanco (189-94) contributed with 19 points (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. American forward Raphiael Putney (207-90, college: UMass) answered with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists and the other American import forward Antonio Hester (199-90, college: Mobile, AL) added 21 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Reales. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Huracanes will play against Soles (#7) in Santo Domingo in the next round. Reales will play at home against Metros and hope to get back on the winning track.
