Regular Season Round 3: Huracanes - Caneros 82-89

No shocking result in a game in Puerto Plata where Caneros (6-2) defeated Huracanes (3-4) 89-82 on Sunday. It was a great evening for Jaison Colome (190-96) who led his team to a victory scoring 31 points. Naturalized Spanish center Jhonatan Araujo (208-96) helped adding 11 points and 7 rebounds. The best for the losing side was Mexican Tony Criswell (205-92, college: Missouri) with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 13 rebounds and point guard Jaison Valdez (188-95) scored 13 points and 4 assists. Huracanes' coach Carlos Medina tested eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Caneros will meet Indios (#6) in the next round. Huracanes will play against Soles in Santo Domingo and hope to secure a win.
