The game between closely ranked teams ended with 5th ranked Cariduros' (7-7) road loss to fourth ranked Indios (10-8) 101-108 on Tuesday. Indios dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Cariduros' 42 and made 16-of-18 free shots (88.9 percent) during the game. Indios looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. International swingman Justin Reyes (193-95, college: STAC) fired 22 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. American Brian Conklin (201-89, college: St.Louis) chipped in 23 points and 6 rebounds. International forward Emmanuel Andujar (197-93, college: Manhattan) produced 19 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists and Dominican guard Rigoberto Mendoza (187-92) added 16 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for lost side. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Indios moved-up to third place. Defending champion Cariduros keep the fifth position with seven games lost. Indios will meet at home Mets (#4) in the next round. Cariduros will play against the league's leader Capitanes and hope to secure a win.
