Important game to mention about took place in Guaynabo. Fourth ranked Mets (7-10) saved a 2-point victory at home edging 3rd placed Indios (10-9) 103-101 in the fight for the third place. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Indios. Mets players were unselfish on offense dishing 28 assists. American point guard David Stockton (180-91, college: Gonzaga) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 13 assists. Panamanian forward Tony Bishop (201-89, college: Texas St., agency: 011 Sports) contributed with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 13 rebounds (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field) for the winners. International swingman Justin Reyes (193-95, college: STAC) answered with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and the former international guard Christian Pizarro (180-95, college: Miami Dade CC) added 15 points and 10 assists in the effort for Indios. Five Mets and four Indios players scored in double figures. Indios' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Mets moved-up to third place. Indios at the other side dropped to the fourth position with nine games lost. Mets will play against Gigantes (#5) in Carolina in the next round. Indios will play at home against Atleticos and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
