CDU Concepcion topped Los Leones to advance into the title series. Universidad de Concepcion dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Los Leones' 32. Worth to mention a great performance of Venezuelan power forward Carlos Milano (198-85) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 26 points and 13 rebounds. The former international center Rodrigo Madera (208-90, college: St.Francis X.) contributed with 11 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. International forward Ignacio Carrion (201-93) replied with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 11 rebounds and naturalized Panamanian guard Eugenio Luzcando (187-95, college: Idaho St.) added 14 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Los Leones. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures.
