Regular Season Round 25: Quebradillas - Fajardo 68-86

Very important is a home loss of second ranked Piratas (11-7) against fifth ranked Cariduros (8-8) on Tuesday night. Host Piratas were defeated by Cariduros in Quebradillas 86-68. Cariduros players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. American forward Victor Rudd (206-91, college: S.Florida) nailed 9 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists for the winning side and Dominican guard Rigoberto Mendoza (187-92) accounted for 14 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Four Cariduros players scored in double figures. American forward Will Daniels (202-86, college: URI) came up with 18 points and 7 rebounds and international Ramon Clemente (200-85, college: Wichita St.) added 10 points and 11 rebounds respectively for Piratas in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Defending champion maintains fifth place with 8-8 record. Piratas at the other side keep the second position with seven games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
