There was no surprise in Montevideo where 11th ranked Capurro (1-5) was crushed by ninth ranked Remeros (2-3) 59-23 on Saturday. Remeros held Capurro to an opponent 22.0 percent shooting from the field compared to 32.5 percent accuracy of the winners. Remeros forced 34 Capurro turnovers and had a 14-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great evening for forward Pia Moyano (170-95) who led her team to a victory scoring 22 points. Center Melina Zapata (180-89) helped adding 2 points and 16 rebounds. At the losing side power forward Lorena Sapio (172-90) responded with 2 points and 16 rebounds and center Camila Palomeque (173-94) scored 6 points and 8 rebounds. Remeros moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Yale. Capurro lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the eleventh position with five games lost.
