Rather expected game when Amazonas lost to LA U in Cocle 81-91 on Saturday. LA U dominated down low during the game scoring 72 of its points in the paint compared to Amazonas' 20. They outrebounded Amazonas 49-24 including a 30-13 advantage in defensive rebounds. Venezuelan guard Crismar Rojas notched 27 points and 6 rebounds to lead the effort and swingman Diobelis Batista (167-5) supported her with 14 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. Four LA U players scored in double figures. LA U's coach used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Even 16 points by guard Lirieth Gonzalez (170-1) did not help to save the game for Amazonas. Guard Gloria Martinez added 4 points and 10 rebounds for the hosts.
