Rather expected game when 5th ranked Leonas (2-8) were defeated on the road by second ranked Real Esteli (8-4) 78-68 on Sunday. The best player for the winners was American guard Diamond Richardson (177-93, college: UAPB) who had a double-double by scoring 28 points and 11 rebounds (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!). Her fellow American import guard Ashton Millender (173, college: DePaul) chipped in 23 points and 7 rebounds. Real Esteli's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Janis Martinez produced a double-double by scoring 26 points and 13 rebounds and center Guisselle Rodriguez added 17 points and 11 rebounds respectively for the guests. The victory was the third consecutive win for Real Esteli. They maintain second place with 8-4 record behind leader No Fear. Leonas lost their fifth game in a row. They stay at the bottom position with eight games lost.
