Very expected game when 5th ranked Indios (13-15) lost to first ranked Capitanes (18-6) in Arecibo 95-104 on Wednesday. Capitanes looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Capitanes made 7 blocks. Naturalized U.S. Virgin Islands point guard Walter Hodge (183-86, college: Florida) nailed a double-double by scoring 23 points, 5 rebounds and 10 assists for the winning side and international forward Jonathan Rodriguez (196-87, college: Campbell) accounted for 18 points and 8 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Capitanes' coach used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. American center Isaiah Austin (216-93, college: Baylor, agency: Slash Sports) came up with 27 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and the other American import Brian Conklin (201-89, college: St.Louis) added 22 points and 8 rebounds respectively for Indios in the defeat.
