Regular Season Round 36: Santurce - Guaynabo 107-88

The most important game in the last round took place in Santurce between third ranked Mets (14-14) and fourth ranked Cangrejeros (13-12) on Tuesday night. Mets were crushed by Cangrejeros on the road 88-107. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Mets. Cangrejeros shot the lights out from three sinking 17 long-distance shots on high 51.5 percentage. It was a good game for the former international point guard JJ Barea (183-84, college: Northeastern) who led his team to a victory with 18 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists. American Thomas Robinson (208-91, college: Kansas, agency: Network Sports International) contributed with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 15 rebounds for the winners. American point guard David Stockton (180-91, college: Gonzaga) replied with 23 points and 9 assists and Panamanian forward Tony Bishop (201-89, college: Texas St., agency: 011 Sports) added 14 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for Mets. Four Cangrejeros and five Mets players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Cangrejeros maintains fourth position with 13-12 record. Newly promoted Mets keep the third place with 14 games lost. Cangrejeros are looking forward to face Leones (#4) in Juana Diaz in the next round. Mets will play at home against Grises and are hoping to win this game.
