Regular Season Round 6: Aguila - San Salvador 75-73

The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of San Salvador (4-1) in San Miguel on Thursday night. Visitors were edged by Aguila (5-0) 75-73. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of San Salvador. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Strangely San Salvador outrebounded Aguila 50-37 including 38 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was Argentinian Ramiro Trebucq (204-95) who had a double-double by scoring 12 points, 14 rebounds and 6 blocks. Lee Vasquez (176-91) chipped in 23 points and 4 assists. Four Aguila players scored in double figures. Aguila have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 5-0 record. San Salvador at the other side keeps the second place with one game lost. They share the position with Santa Tecla. Aguila are looking forward to face bottom-ranked Chalchuapa (#10) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. San Salvador will play against El Rapido (#8) and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
