Bottom-ranked Cojute is still unable to win any game. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their fifth consecutive match to third ranked Santa Tecla (5-1) 75-71 on Saturday evening. It was an exceptional evening for American forward Arsenio Arrington (206-96, college: Aquinas Coll.) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 15 rebounds and 4 blocks. Center Carlos Arias (200-89) accounted for 11 points and 8 rebounds for the winning side. Four Santa Tecla players scored in double figures. American swingman Zekiah Owens (197-98, college: AIC) came up with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 18 rebounds and American guard Chris Moten (190-89, college: LA Pierce JC) added 22 points respectively for Cojute in the defeat. Defending champion moved-up to second place, which they share with San Salvador. Cojute lost their fifth game in a row. They still close the standings with five games lost. They share the position with El Rapido. Santa Tecla will meet at home Santa Ana (#4) in the next round. Cojute will play against the league's second-placed San Salvador (#2) and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
