Regular Season Round 4: Amazonas - Correcaminos 62-82

The game in Cocle supposed to be also quite interesting. Top-ranked Correcaminos (4-0) played at the court of 5th ranked Amazonas (1-4). Correcaminos did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 82-62 on Saturday. Correcaminos dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Amazonas' 28. They outrebounded Amazonas 53-32 including a 35-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. Correcaminos looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Amazonas' players. Worth to mention a great performance of Colombian power forward Tathiana Mosquera (197-89) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 19 points, 19 rebounds and 5 assists and Ecuadorian power forward Liliana Angulo (183-90) who added 23 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side Colombian forward Laura Garrido (-90) responded with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists and guard Maria Garcia (-4) scored 18 points. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Correcaminos have a solid four-game winning streak. Defending champion keeps a position of league leader. Loser Amazonas keep the fifth place with four games lost. They share the position with Atletico. Correcaminos will meet league's second-placed Panteras in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Amazonas will play against Atletico and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
