Santurce topped Arecibo to even the series at 1-1. Strangely Capitanes outrebounded Cangrejeros 38-20 including 18 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The former international guard Isaac Sosa Carrion (191-90, college: Canisius) orchestrated the victory by scoring 27 points. American forward Michael Beasley (208-89, college: Kansas St.) contributed with 19 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Naturalized U.S. Virgin Islands point guard Walter Hodge (183-86, college: Florida) replied with 23 points and 6 assists and international forward Jonathan Rodriguez (196-87, college: Campbell) added 17 points and 5 assists in the effort for Capitanes. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Capitanes' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help.
