Regular Season Round 8: Comunicaciones - Regatas 64-89

Another exciting game was played in Mercedes between fourth ranked Regatas and one of their biggest challengers Comunicaciones where Regatas (2-4) crushed Comunicaciones (1-5) on the road with 25-point difference 89-64. Guard Juan Arengo (185-96) orchestrated the victory by scoring 17 points and 9 assists. International swingman Martin Fernandez (195-97) contributed with 18 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Four Regatas players scored in double figures. Regatas' coach felt very confident using entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. American Jordan Adams (196-94, college: UCLA) replied with 27 points and his fellow American import power forward Brandon Peterson (203-90, college: Arkansas St.) added 14 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Comunicaciones. Regatas moved-up to third place, which they share with Union SF and San Lorenzo. Comunicaciones at the other side dropped to the fourth position with five games lost. They share it with Argentino and Obera. Regatas will play against Obera (#5) on the road in the next round. Comunicaciones will play against the league's leader San Martin in Corrientes to get more than just one victory in their record.
