There was a small surprise in Buenos Aires where fourth ranked Gimnasia (4-2) edged top-ranked Ferro (4-2) 73-72 on Thursday. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international Sebastian Vega (200-88) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 15 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists and Cuban forward Yoanki Mencia (196-97) who added 24 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. Uruguayan center Theo Metzger (200-99) responded with 21 points and 6 rebounds and power forward Eduardo Vasirani (206-91) scored 18 points and 6 rebounds. Ferro's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Gimnasia keeps a position of league leader, which they share with 4 other teams including defeated Ferro.
