Regular Season Round 11: Urunday - Hebraica 59-124
Date: October 16, 2021
Bottom-ranked Urunday is still unable to win any game. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their ninth consecutive match to fifth ranked Hebraica (7-1) 124-59 on Saturday evening. Hebraica dominated down low during the game scoring 82 of its points in the paint compared to Urunday's 22. Hebraica forced 40 Urunday turnovers and outrebounded them 53-34 including a 22-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Urunday's players. It was an exceptional evening for Argentinian forward Ana Paz (178-97) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds. The former international guard Natasha Dolinsky (173-97, college: Lincoln, MO) accounted for 27 points and 8 steals for the winning side. Five Hebraica players scored in double figures. Forward Fiorella Garbarino (159-91) came up with 16 points and 6 rebounds and Eliana Florencio added 8 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Urunday in the defeat. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Hebraica moved-up to third place. Urunday lost their ninth game in a row. Newly promoted team still closes the standings with nine games lost. Hebraica's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Montevideo to the arena Bohemios.
