The most surprising game was the first loss of Aguila (7-1) in San Miguel on Sunday night. Hosts were defeated by fifth ranked Brujos (6-3) 76-72. It ended at the same time the seven-game winning streak of Aguila. Brujos shot 22 for 31 from the free-throw line, while Aguila only scored two points from the stripe. 25 personal fouls committed by Aguila helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Harrison Rieger (196-98) who helped to win the game recording 29 points and 7 rebounds. Guyanese-American center Anthony Moe (206-90, college: Millersville) contributed with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 18 rebounds for the winners. Point guard Martin Ramos (171-92) replied with 14 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists and Ecuadorian power forward Carlos Delgado (202-90) added 13 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Aguila. Four Aguila players scored in double figures. Brujos maintains fifth position with 6-3 record. Aguila at the other side still keeps top place with one game lost. They share the position with San Salvador. Brujos will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Aguila will play at home against Fantasmas and is hoping to win this game.
