Santurce rallied past Arecibo to narrow the deficit in the series. Cangrejeros forced 19 Capitanes turnovers. 24 personal fouls committed by Capitanes helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The former international point guard JJ Barea (183-84, college: Northeastern) orchestrated the victory by scoring 28 points and 5 assists. American Thomas Robinson (208-91, college: Kansas, agency: Network Sports International) contributed with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Naturalized U.S. Virgin Islands point guard Walter Hodge (183-86, college: Florida) answered with 22 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists and Mexican center Gustavo Ayon (207-85, college: SJSU) added 10 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for Capitanes. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Capitanes' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help.
