Quarter-Finals Round 5: Quebradillas - Bayamon 73-99
Date: October 19, 2021
Bayamon knocked down Quebradillas on the road to secure the semifinal berth. Vaqueros outrebounded Piratas 44-30 including a 35-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Vaqueros made 7 blocks. American forward Kristian Doolittle (201-97, college: Oklahoma, agency: Pensack Sports) nailed 27 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 blocks (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) for the winning side and the former international Javier Mojica (189-84, college: CCSU, agency: Paris Global Sports) accounted for 15 points. Four Vaqueros players scored in double figures. International forward Jose Rodriguez (201-92, college: Texas Southern) came up with 19 points and international guard Joseph Soto (190-93) added 16 points respectively for Piratas in the defeat. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
