LSB top team - Brumas (14-4) added another victory to their record. This time they beat sixth ranked Leon (10-9) 91-85. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Leon. Brumas forced 19 Leon turnovers and outrebounded them 45-33 including 28 on the offensive glass. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists. The winners were led by American center Leon Hampton (213-95, college: Stillman) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 23 points and 17 rebounds and the other American import power forward Martell Miller (198-96, college: Detroit) supported him with 13 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. Hampton is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Brumas players scored in double figures. Brumas' coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even a double-double of 23 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assists by Cuban Yuniskel Molina (183-93) did not help to save the game for Leon. Dominican center Miguel Almonte (211-91) added 22 points and 7 rebounds for lost side. Brumas have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 14-4 record. Leon at the other side keeps the sixth place with nine games lost.
