The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of top-ranked Aguila (14-2) in San Miguel on Wednesday night. Hosts were defeated by third ranked Fantasmas (12-6) 85-78. It ended at the same time the seven-game winning streak of Aguila. Worth to mention a great performance of American Nick Moore (198-91, college: Nyack) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds and the other American import guard Randy Bell (193-98, college: Dalton St.) who added 16 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Power forward Brayan Garcia (194-98) responded with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 17 rebounds and Ecuadorian power forward Carlos Delgado (202-90) scored 19 points and 6 rebounds. Four Aguila players scored in double figures. Fantasmas maintains third position with 12-6 record having just one point less than leader San Salvador. Aguila at the other side dropped to the second place with two games lost. Fantasmas will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Aguila will play on the road against the league's leader San Salvador and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
