Soles stormed past Astros for 2-1 advantage. Soles outrebounded Astros 36-22 including 26 on the defensive glass. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Astros' players. It was a good game for American-Argentinian guard Erik Thomas (195-95, college: New Orleans) who led his team to a victory with 22 points and 7 rebounds. International guard Luke Martinez (190-90, college: Wyoming) contributed with 14 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Four Soles players scored in double figures. Naturalized American guard Karim Rodriguez (196-88) answered with 12 points and 6 assists and American forward Jordan Loveridge (198-93, college: Utah) added 17 points in the effort for Astros. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
