Guaynabo rallied past Arecibo to narrow the deficit in the championship series. Mets outrebounded Capitanes 46-28 including a 31-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Mets made 8 blocks. It was a good game for American point guard Justin Dentmon (183-85, college: Washington, agency: Slash Sports) who led his team to a victory with 22 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists. The former international forward Renaldo Balkman (201-84, college: S.Carolina) contributed with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Five Mets players scored in double figures. Naturalized U.S. Virgin Islands point guard Walter Hodge (183-86, college: Florida) answered with 24 points and 6 assists and the former international swingman David Huertas (196-87, college: Ole Miss) added 24 points in the effort for Capitanes.
