There was no surprise when 11th ranked UNIFACISA (1-2) was defeated on the road by fourth ranked Paschoalotto/Bauru (5-1) 84-68 on Friday. It was a great evening for international Gabriel Galvanini (202-98) who led his team to a victory scoring 25 points and 7 rebounds. Naturalized American point guard Larry Taylor (183-80, college: MWSU) helped adding 15 points and 8 assists. Four Paschoalotto/Bauru players scored in double figures. At the losing side the former international power forward Gerson Santo (206-91, college: Colorado St.) responded with 19 points and 6 rebounds and the former international swingman Antonio Ferreira (200-94) scored 9 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Paschoalotto/Bauru have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain fourth place with 5-1 record. Loser UNIFACISA dropped to the twelfth position with two games lost. Paschoalotto/Bauru will meet Sao Paulo (#7) on the road in the next round. UNIFACISA will play against U.Corinthians (#14) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
