Regular Season Round 10: Brisas - UNAB Santiago 62-70

Another interesting game was again a derby between two local teams from Santiago: UNAB Santiago (#2) and Brisas (#4). Brisas were defeated at home 62-70 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. Vanessa Medina (168-99, college: High School) notched 36 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds to lead the effort and the former international Monserrat Videla (175-92) supported her with 13 points and 8 rebounds. Even 22 points and 5 rebounds by the former international Fernanda Serrano (175-92) did not help to save the game for Brisas. Swingman Nicol Salvo (175-97) added 16 points and 9 rebounds for lost side. Brisas' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. UNAB Santiago have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 5-2 record behind leader UNAB Concep., which they share with Sergio Ceppi. Loser Brisas keep the fourth place with four games lost.
