Regular Season Round 5: San Lorenzo - H.Americano 84-59

Bottom-ranked H.Americano (0-6) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 84-59 loss to seventh ranked San Lorenzo (4-2) in Almagra on Thursday evening. They dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to H.Americano's 22. San Lorenzo forced 24 H.Americano turnovers. Power forward Ian Cerino (206-2) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 13 rebounds for the winners and forward Martin Sesarego (193-1) chipped in 11 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. Four San Lorenzo players scored in double figures. San Lorenzo's coach felt very confident that he used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Swingman Ramiro Ledesma (192-0) responded with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 16 rebounds and forward Damian Fernandez (194-2) scored 12 points and 8 rebounds. San Lorenzo moved-up to fifth place. H.Americano lost their sixth game in a row. They still close the standings with six games lost. San Lorenzo will meet at home Regatas (#7) in the next round. H.Americano will play against Union (#11) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
