An interesting game for FAS (14-0) which hosted in 4th ranked San Miguel (2-12). Top-ranked FAS had an easy win 100-51. FAS dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to San Miguel's 38. FAS forced 29 San Miguel turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists comparing to just 16 passes made by San Miguel's players. Naturalized American Emily Tevez (175-93, college: NDN) notched a double-double by scoring 17 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the effort and point guard Fatima Aviles (161-99) supported her with 26 points and 6 rebounds. Tevez is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four FAS players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 21 points and 11 rebounds by Honduran center Jani Martinez did not help to save the game for San Miguel. Point guard Zabdi Rivera (170-2) added 7 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. FAS have an impressive 14-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 14-0 record. San Miguel lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the fourth place with 12 games lost. FAS will meet at home L.M.Mons. 2 (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. San Miguel will play against Santa Ana and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
