Anzoategui stormed past Yaracuyanas to sweep the semifinal series. Anzoategui dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Yaracuyanas' 28. Anzoategui forced 26 Yaracuyanas turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists. The former international guard Waleska Perez (180-94, college: Weatherford JC) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 8 rebounds, 20 assists and 5 steals. The former international Yosimar Corrales (184-90) contributed with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Josymar Diaz replied with 10 points and 7 rebounds and international point guard Guadalupe Diaz (163-99) added 11 points and 4 assists (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) in the effort for Yaracuyanas. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
