The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Argentinian Boca in Rio de Janeiro on Friday night. Visitors were rolled over by Brazilian Flamengo 88-66. Flamengo outrebounded Boca 44-27 including a 16-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Olivinha Rodriguez (202-83) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds. American Brandon Robinson (196-89, college: Clayton St.) contributed with 14 points and 6 assists for the winners. Four Flamengo players scored in double figures. Leonel Schattmann (193-87) answered with 13 points and Dominican center Eloy Vargas (211-88, college: Kentucky, agency: Duran International) added 6 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Boca. Boca's coach gave up on the game allowing to play twelve players seeing no chance for a win.
