We should mention about the upset which took place in Paraiba, where 8th ranked UNIFACISA (4-4) lost at home to eleventh ranked Paulistano (5-6) 72-87. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of UNIFACISA. Paulistano shot the lights out from three nailing 15 long-distance shots on high 53.6 percentage. Worth to mention a great performance of international guard Caue Borges (187-91) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). Point guard Felipe Ruivo (188-98) contributed with 18 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) for the winners. Paulistano's coach Demetrius Ferraciu allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. The former international swingman Antonio Ferreira (200-94) answered with 19 points and 6 rebounds and American-Panamanian point guard Trevor Gaskins (188-89, college: Louisiana Tech) added 13 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for UNIFACISA. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Paulistano moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Cerrado. UNIFACISA at the other side dropped to the eleventh position with four games lost. Paulistano's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Sao Paulo to the arena Pinheiros.
