Rather expected game when 7th ranked Gorlias (3-5) were smashed by fourth ranked Teclenas (6-1) in Santa Tecla 72-46 on Saturday. Teclenas dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Gorlias' 28. Teclenas forced 28 Gorlias turnovers. The winners were led by guard Alexandra Fuentes (160-89) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 29 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists and 8 steals and Jocelyne Zambrano (169-93) supported her with 11 points and 7 rebounds. Even a double-double of 12 points and 15 rebounds by Nicole Ayala (171-5) did not help to save the game for Gorlias. Guard Leslie Bonilla (165-6) added 12 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists for the guests. Teclenas have an impressive five-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place. Loser Gorlias keep the seventh position with five games lost. They share it with Salvadorenas. Teclenas will meet league's second-placed San Marcos on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Gorlias will play against Bulldogs (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
