Regular Season Round 2: Minas - Bigua 95-73

The most important game of round 2 took place in Belo Horizonte of Group C where Brazilian Minas crushed Uruguayan Bigua 95-73 on Monday night. Minas made 17-of-21 free shots (81.0 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Guard Gui Pereira (192-91) scored 23 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and point guard Alexey Borges (185-95) chipped in 25 points and 6 assists during the contest. Italian-Argentinian center Damian Tintorelli (205-81) responded with 18 points and 5 rebounds and American Victor Rudd (206-91, college: S.Florida) scored 12 points and 5 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Bigua will play next round against strong Obras trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Minas will try to continue on its current victory against Obras in Buenos Aires.
