An exciting game was played in Montevideo. Uruguayan Bigua faced Argentinian Obras. Host Bigua (1-1) defeated guests from Buenos Aires (0-2) 69-65. It was a great evening for American Donald Sims (190-87, college: App State, agency: Pensack Sports) who led his team to a victory scoring 28 points. His fellow American import Victor Rudd (206-91, college: S.Florida) helped adding 10 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Bigua's coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. The best for the losing side was Uruguayan forward Emiliano Serres (205-97) with 8 points and 15 rebounds and Uruguayan forward Joaquin Rodriguez (198-99) scored 13 points and 4 assists (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). Bigua will again meet at home Obras (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Obras will play against Minas and hope to get finally their first victory.
