Very important is a road loss of third ranked Aguada (6-2) against fifth ranked Urupan (6-3) on Thursday night. Visiting Aguada was defeated by Urupan in a tough game in Urupan 94-98. They made 22-of-23 free shots (95.7 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of Lithuanian center Zygimantas Riauka (206-93, college: UW-Parkside) who helped to win the game recording 19 points and 7 rebounds (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) and guard Mateo Sarni (185-98) who added 15 points and 10 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was Argentinian Marcos Mata (202-86) with 24 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and the former international guard Federico Bavosi (190-81) scored 20 points and 4 assists. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Newly promoted Urupan maintains fifth position with 6-3 record. Loser Aguada dropped to the fourth place with two games lost. Urupan will meet at home Penarol (#8) in the next round. Aguada's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Montevideo Bigua.
